About Me

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Hey there! I’m Jennifer Lumayag, a teacher by profession, but also a dreamer, storyteller, and traveler at heart. By day, I teach 5th graders how to fall in love with reading, writing, and big ideas. By night, you’ll probably find me strumming a guitar, trying out a new recipe, or planning my next little adventure.I grew up in the Philippines and now call Arizona home. Funny enough, I’ve explored more U.S. states in three years than I ever did in my own country! Life has been a mix of classrooms, airports, and coffee shops, and each chapter adds something new to my story. This blog is my corner of the internet to share teaching reflections, travel snippets, and bits of everyday inspiration. Think of it as a journal with sprinkles of curiosity and creativity. Grab a cup of coffee and join me—I’d love to share this journey with you.

My Story

Growing up in the Philippines and now teaching in Phoenix, Arizona, I’ve seen how differently students experience learning. Here in the U.S., technology is everywhere in the classroom, offering amazing opportunities but also raising questions about how it’s used. Sometimes we see it misused, but is it really just the students’ fault? Or maybe it’s also a reminder that we, as teachers, need to keep learning and growing right alongside them. This website is my way of exploring those questions and celebrating the role of technology in education. I’ll be sharing insights, stories, and research on how digital tools can make classrooms more engaging and meaningful. Think of it as a collection of reflections and discoveries—little sparks of learning that I hope can inspire fellow educators, students, and anyone curious about the future of teaching and learning.
